Please help me with College Stress?
I’m pretty much on my own as far as applying for colleges, grants, scholarships and the like. I’ve graduated and decided to enroll in the New York Institute for Photogrpahy. It’s about 8 months or so I believe, and online. So that’s squared away. I’m just working on getting grants and such to pay for it. Then in about a year I would like to attend a real college, and have the real experiences of college life. But every time I try to prep for SATs or look at colleges or read up on grants/scholarships I feel so overwhelmed that I think I’m beginning to have small panic/anxiety attacks. I don’t know how to handle stress at all. Please help me in any way you can. I’m so lost and stressed I don’t even know if I know what I’m asking here. I just need a way to calm down, and get my head on straight and not be intimidated by all of this. And I also need to prep for my SATs in December and how do I go about looking for grants and scholarships for myself? Any help is so appreciated. Thank you.

first do not listen to any of the people that answer this question with a hi im such and such and im here to tell you a story, they are fakes what you need to do is whatever college you want to attend get in touch with there financial department and they will help you apply for grants such as the fasfa, pell grant, scholarships and loans. Good luck to you
Calm down. Getting into college isn’t as hard as you think it is. I have a pretty bad history with grades. I was suicidal and 1 year by GPA was a 1.45 for a semester and a 2.04 the other. I managed to graduate with a 3.0 but just barely and this is after I had submitted which means when my university I applied to got my grades I think they saw like a 2.6 and for high school usually that’s not good.
My SAT was also lackluster at 1080. But look at me. I managed to get in. If I can so can you. Honestly college isn’t that too hard to get into. And if you can’t fit the bill you can file your FAFSA- it’s a federal student aid program and if you’re pretty much paying for your own way they will actually be VERY generous in funding your education but on the downside you may end up with a lot of debt.
Now for scholarships, you will have to apply for them AFTER you get into college because your college has specific scholarships that aren’t nationwide. So your first year might be rough in terms of money, but after that as long as your grades are STELLAR (3.5+) you should be able to apply and get scholarships just fine.
Instead of doing an online thing for awhile I suggest you go straight to college. The online thing will just waste your time and money … especially if the credits don’t end up transferring which means you wasted your time.
